As a product designer, he has dedicated himself entirely to light and lighting. In almost a decade as assistant to Ingo Maurer and collaborations with Ron Arad and Moritz Waldemeyer, award-winning lighting objects were created, for example, in MoMa NYC. Since 2015, he has been in charge of the product design department of Licht Kunst Licht AG and is working on pioneering designs for architecture and industry.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Barbara Friedrich<\/strong>
\nDesign Consulting & Design Journalist, Hamburg<\/em><\/p>\n

After leading functions in the magazines Ambiente, Elle Deco and Architektur & Wohnen, Barbara Friedrich took over the editorial office of Zuhause Wohnen in 1993 and A & W Architektur & Wohnen in the Jahreszeiten Verlag in Hamburg in 1999.
\nUntil 2016 she was editor-in-chief and most recently editor of the magazine. Since then, Barbara Friedrich has worked independently as a writer, presenter and juror in the design scene.<\/p>\n

Always open-minded: Following his training as a dental technician, Volker Hohmann founded a printing company in 1984, a label for creative car seat covers in 1986, and has been working in historical architecture since 1989, earning him the Hessian Monument Protection Prize in 2008. The step towards design is close: In 1993, Volker Hohmann founds ikarus as a catalog mail-order business. Since 1997 he has been expanding his online trade and still relies on furniture stores in Frankfurt and Stuttgart since 2005.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Lanz worked as a lecturer in technical design at TU Dresden in 2007\/08 and 2010\/11. He regularly gives lectures on the subject of design, design process and trends and is a regular member of the jury of various internationally renowned design awards, including the iF design award and the German Design Award.
\nIn addition to his role as co-director of design affairs, Lanz has been Professor of Product & Transportation Design at the internationally renowned JOANNEUM in Graz. Since mid-April 2014, Lanz has been head of the institute, transfer center and bachelor's and master's programs.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
